Mother Teah Vincent says boy-sex, 14, ruined her life
Mother-of-three Teah Vincent claims having sex with a 14-year-old boy ruined her life after facing liaison charges.
A mum admitted sex with a 14-year-old boy "wrecked" her life and says trolls harassed her.
Teah Vincent, 32, admitted her Gloucestershire home to initiate sex with the boy - but claimed she assumed he was over 16.
She was found not guilty of intentionally having sex with an underage boy after only one hour and four minutes of jury deliberation on Thursday, December 3.
On Friday, the mum-of-three admitted she feels embarrassed" by the ordeal and needs to concentrate on the future.
Vincent told The Sun Online: "It ruined my life.
"It's wrecked every chance I'd have a future. Now I'm too ashamed to do something.
"Hot-headed and emotional.
"I want to put all my energy into and look after my kids now."
After jurors acquitted her at Gloucester Crown Court, Ms Vincent burst into a stream of tears.
She posted a photo of herself enjoying Facebook news, writing: "Not guilty. Thank you all who stood behind me and agreed it was the toughest two years of my life.
"Welcome 2021 for my children."
Yet Ms Vincent said she was threatened on social media, despite the non-guilty verdict.
She said I'm getting harassment on Facebook like you wouldn't. It's hurtful and wrong.
"I have people on Facebook I've never met saying I'm a bad mother and that's really disturbing because my kids are my life.
"I was convicted by a jury, and people ought to respect that.
"It's time to try to rebuild my life and get on with it."
'BOY Still 16'
At the courtroom, jurors heard the boy playing football with a pal outside Ms Vincent's home as she invited them to drink.
Ms Vincent was then accused of picking up one of the teens she stripped off and had sex.
She said she was "sure" that he told her he was 16 and "looked much older."
She added: "He definitely didn't tell me he was in Year Nine or he was only 14 before we had sex."
The court learned he had given his Facebook profile a fake birth date - making him look much older than his 14 years.
He said he never told Ms Vincent he was "16 going on 17" and blamed the wrong birth date on a new phone he got for his 13th birthday.
In his summary to the jury before they retired to consider their decision, Judge Ian Lawrie QC told them: "These problems are straightforward. It's about the boy's age issue.
"The perpetrator was a young virgin, much older than him, more than twice his age. Ms Vincent's sexual lead.
"Ms Vincent said the boy flirted with her before heading upstairs to her apartment. This may seem to stretch legitimacy, as he was inexperienced on sexual matters.
"Ms Vincent had never met the boy before but had seen his friends, far older than him. She said she thought he was much older."
