Instead, her life ended in unimaginable tragedy on January 2 when she fell from the apartment she shared with Subedi, sustaining fatal injuries. Her body was discovered in a garden bed below, leaving behind a grieving husband and a community demanding answers.

The events leading up to her death remain shrouded in mystery. A triple-0 call from Dahal’s phone two hours before the incident captured only faint, indistinct murmurs—no clear cries for help, no obvious signs of distress. When operators called back, Subedi answered, assuring them that everything was under control. Police were informed and planned to check in, but by the time they arrived, it was too late. A witness had already alerted emergency services after seeing Dahal hanging from the balcony. Moments later, she was gone.

Subedi was questioned by detectives but later released without charges. His family insists that Dahal’s death was a tragic accident, describing the couple as deeply in love and eager to start a family. Yet, with a two-hour gap between the initial call and police arrival, and a dedicated task force now investigating the circumstances of her death, doubts persist.
