Southern California with a ferocity that defies control. As of January 9, 2025, the wildfire has scorched over 15,832 acres, destroyed more than 1,000 homes and structures, and forced 40,000 residents to flee in fear.

The Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst Fires, fueled by extreme winds and drought, remain largely uncontained, with hazardous air quality and widespread destruction.
