McKayla Maroney has been forced in the 2012 Olympic Games to compete with a broken foot, claiming that Larry Nassar has lied the injury coach.
On Sunday in Instagram Story's videos McKayla Maroney, a former US Gymnast Team and Olympic Medalist, said she was forced to compete in a broken foot during the London Olympics, following the injury lied by the trainer to Larry Nassar.
With regard to Sunday's final in the Olympic Gymnastics, Maroney, who was medal winner in the event in London, tweeted her wish "to communicate the background of what ACTUALLY is doing during finals (especially vault finals) in Olympic Gymnastics."
"I don't think many people realize how awful it is for the athletes," said Maroney.
Instagram, Maroney said that her foot had been broken during the 2012 Olympics but hidden from the team coach by Nassar. The former American female gymnastical team physicians, who had been sentenced in 2018 to 175 years imprisonment. After hundreds of women – including Maroney, Aly Raisman and Simone Biles – accused him of sexual abuses, Nassar is convicted of child pornography and sexual assault on minors.
"You know that I competed as a vaulter in the Olympic team. I came ready for the floor as well, but I broke my feet when I came to London "Maroney said. Maroney said.
She said she "did never blame anyone," saying she felt it'd be her "body fault." She said she would never blame anyone. However, Maroney now thought her broken foot was the result of the training of trainer Márta Károlyi soon after her arrival in London. Maroney told Károlyi that she had three complete balancing-beam routines despite her jet-lapping and not competing at the event.
"When I broke my feet on the beam, it was like hell because I was twisted," Maroney said in the video. "I felt awful like that. Before my beam routine I looked at my coach and was like, 'Really? Right now you'll get me on with this thing? I feel like s—- I feel like that!""
At the 2012 Olympics, Maroney's toe was broken in several reports and not her foot. Károlyi was refused by the New York Times to be broken and to say the door of Maroney was 'crushed' and 'stretched.'
In her video, Maroney said Nassar knew that her foot had broken and lied at Károlyi saying it wasn't broken. Maroney said Nassar "was the one that helped and provided information with the X-rays."
Maroney said she "risks" the rest of her fitness career to compete at the Olympics. She had a successful "miracle operation" on her foot after the London Olympics.
