Greenacre shooting news, Haysam Ayoubi kidnapping Sam Amine
When a gunman bursts into a kidnapper's $1 million bail house and shoots four times, he scurries away from the scene.
A kidnapping suspect who was being held on $1 million bail was the target of a drive-by shooting at his home last night.
A drive-by shooting in the early hours of Monday morning in Sydney's south-west targeted the home of 24-year-old Haysam Ayoubi, but he was unharmed.
An unidentified hooded shooter can be seen approaching the house through a side driveway and firing a number of shots into the garage roller door before running away.
Ayoubi is free on bail after being accused of participating in the kidnapping of Sam Amine in Sans Souci in June 2021 along with three other men.
When Mr Amine was kidnapped and taken to Padstow, Cornwall, he was held there for several hours before he managed to flee. A court heard about this last year.
Up to four bullet holes may have been found in the Greenacre home by officers from the Bankstown Police Area Command.
At the time, there were three adults in the house. At the time of the shooting, Ayoubi is believed to have been sitting in the garage of the property.
Police forensic investigators have set up a crime scene and are examining it.
