A week after his mother was allegedly murdered, the body of a 3-year-old kid was uncovered.
A three-year-old boy's body was sadly discovered a week after his mother was slain in a stunning incident in the United States of America.
According to local authorities, the body of a missing 3-year-old boy was discovered in Milwaukee – a week after his mother was confirmed killed.
Major Harris, the child, was discovered Thursday along North 35th Street and West Rohr Avenue, according to a statement from Milwaukee Police.
According to a law enforcement source, Major's body was discovered in a storage container.
"This investigation is underway," Acting Chief Jeffrey Norman told the newspaper. "This is a pretty fluid situation at the moment. My heart goes out to the family, as do my sympathies."
Major had been missing since Oct. 14, when his mother, Mallery Muenzenberger, 25, was discovered shot to death in a Milwaukee home's garden, the site stated.
According to the report, both mother and son resided in Onalaska, roughly three hours west of Milwaukee.
They were last seen alive in Milwaukee on Oct. 9.
Authorities initially struggled to identify Muenzenberger – she was not a local resident — but after contacting relatives, they discovered her kid was missing and issued an Amber Alert, the article stated.
Jaheem Clark, 20, was identified as a suspect, but he committed suicide Sunday as authorities closed in on the residence where he was residing, according to the newspaper.
The following day, investigators discovered Muenzenberger's black SUV near a laundromat, with blood inside, the source reported.
Authorities announced Wednesday that they arrested individuals suspected to have information about the crime, according to the Sentinel.
Two individuals, aged 21 and 29, remained in detention late Thursday and have not been charged, according to police spokesperson Sgt. Efrain Cornejo.
However, he stated that four others had been released.
According to the story, Milwaukee police labeled the suspect as a friend of Muenzenberger but did not elaborate on their relationship.
Muenzenberger's family previously stated in a statement that she became "engaged in a life she never discussed with our family."
"She was far too reserved," according to the statement. "We discovered that she was an honest person who placed far too much trust in others."
According to the family, she "faced her demise at the hands of domestic abuse."
"While going through her possessions, we came across her senior project from high school," the relatives explained. "How ironic that she chose Domestic Violence Awareness as the topic for her presentation."
According to her family, she was a mother who "loved her young kid with all her heart."
"Her son was her life — her pleasure — her reason for being, her future," according to the statement. "She was devoted to her family."
