Her living room has since become a tribute to Juan, filled with photographs, white roses, and glowing candles. As the second-oldest of four siblings, he was known as a loving son, brother, and nephew who always put family first.

Juan’s aunt, Shery Olivo, a Dominican author, remembered him as an essential part of family gatherings, particularly during holiday celebrations when he would help prepare festive meals. She emphasized that he had never been in trouble, had no criminal history, and always took pride in his appearance.

He was also passionate about cooking and had brought meals to his aunt just days before his passing. Before his death, he had shared his excitement about joining the Navy, saying he had recently passed an exam. His aunt reassured him that he was making the right decision and expressed her pride in his choice to serve. Now, that bright future has been stolen.
