Charley Hull Calls Out Social Media Scammers: "I Will Never Ask for Money—Ever!"

LPGA star Charley Hull is speaking out against scammers who are using her name to deceive her fans. In a powerful Instagram post, the 28-year-old English golfer made her stance clear: “I will never, ever ask for your money.” Known for her bold personality on and off the course, Hull is determined to protect her followers from these fraudulent schemes.

In response to a growing wave of fake accounts impersonating her, Charley Hull spoke out, saying, “I addressed this issue a few weeks ago, but after a recent incident at a tournament, I feel compelled to reiterate: I will never ask for money or gift cards in exchange for meet-and-greets or fan club memberships. These so-called clubs are scams run by fraudsters.”

Hull clarified that her official online presence is limited to her verified accounts—@charley.hull on Instagram and @hullcharley on X (formerly Twitter)—and confirmed that she does not use TikTok. She urged her fans to report any suspicious profiles, stating, “There are SO many fake accounts pretending to be me. If you encounter one, please report it. By working together, we can combat these scammers.”

Known for her candid demeanor, Hull has made headlines before. In May, she went viral for casually smoking a cigarette while signing autographs at the U.S. Women’s Open. More recently, she broke a two-year winless streak by winning the Aramco Team Series title on the Ladies European Tour, reaffirming her status as one of the LPGA’s elite players.

Hull has also been transparent about her personal journey, revealing her ADHD diagnosis last year. Despite the challenges, she has risen to No. 11 in the LPGA world rankings, proving her resilience both on and off the course.

For Hull, protecting her fans is just as important as her success on the fairway. “The real Charley Hull is too busy winning tournaments and exposing scammers to ever ask for your money,” she assured her followers, urging them to stay alert.

Her message is unequivocal: scammers don’t stand a chance with Hull and her fans united against them.
